Bamboo Fund

panda incense and aroma bracelet

Where your $1 goes.

We don't do vague.

We made a deal with Ningbo Wildlife Park: for every box of Piqiu you light, we send $1 straight to their bamboo fund. Fresh stalks. Treat enrichment. Vet checkups. The stuff that keeps a 300-pound bear happy and healthy.

It doesn't sound like much per box. But when you light one, you're not just burning incense. You're buying a panda's next meal.

Why Ningbo Wildlife Park?

We didn't pick a random zoo. We picked the one closest to our roots.

Panda Incense was born with a love for Eastern scent traditions — and Ningbo is a city that holds that spirit.

When we reached out to the Ningbo Wildlife Park team, they told us their giant pandas eat over 30,000 pounds of bamboo a year. That's a lot of grocery shopping for a zoo.

What $1 actually does.

A giant panda eats 20–30 kg of bamboo a day. That's a lot of bamboo — and a lot of bills for the zoo.

Your $1 joins everyone else's. Together, we help cover:

🌿 Bamboo sourcing — buying fresh, high-quality bamboo from local farms
🌿 Zoo operations — easing the daily cost of feeding the pandas
🌿 Less pressure — on the zookeepers who do this work every day

This is who you're feeding.

Meet Yajun and Ajie. The sis lives at Ningbo Wildlife Park. Each one eats 40 kg of bamboo a day.

How do you send the money to Ningbo Wildlife Park?

We make quarterly wire transfers directly to their panda care fund. We post the transfer receipts here every 3 months.

Can I donate more than $1?

Absolutely. You can add an extra donation at checkout — just select the amount that feels right to you.

Do you only donate from Piqiu sales or all products?

Currently, every product in our store goes to the fund. Piqiu started it, but all orders count.

Can I visit the pandas I'm helping?

Yes! Ningbo Wildlife Park is open to visitors. If you're ever in China, go say hi. Tell them Panda Incense sent you. 🐼 And you can also experience making incense or sachets there.
